This season visit the beaches of South Walton for a variety of holiday cheer. From a Thanksgiving Day 10k in Rosemary Beach to a New Year’s Countdown in Seaside and several Christmas Tree Lightings and Parades in between. Whichever holiday you’re in town for you can be sure South Walton has an event for you….take a look!

November 22nd at 7:30am you’re invited to run or walk off the damage you will do that afternoon in the Inaugural 30A 10K and 1 Mile Thanksgiving Day race. The race will start and finish in the town of Rosemary Beach. Take in amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico as you make your way through the course. An awards ceremony will finish the festivities. Annual South Walton Holiday Parade and Turn on the Town Seaside is the official kick-off event to Christmas!

The event begins at 4:00pm, on November 24th, in Seagrove Beach with a Christmas Parade featuring Santa of course. Then at 5:00pm it’s time to party at the amphitheater in Seaside with holiday cheer and pictures with Santa. “Turn on the Town” shortly follows with a 24 inch Christmas tree lighting up Seaside!

On December 9th at 1:30pm the “Elves” will ride again at the 5th Annual South Walton Elf Ride! Seaside Post Office is where the ride will start, then we will proceed to the Watercolor Fire Station where the party will be including pizza, drinks, snacks, Santa, best decorated bike contest, and face-painting. 10 … 9 … 8 …. Countdown Seaside on December 31st. Spend the end of 2012 with your closest friends and neighbors. Live music, Street Performers, and an explosive fireworks show to welcome 2013! Seaside sets the tone for an amazing New Year!
