Spring’s First Day on 30A

flowers30a

Sunday, March 20th is the official first day of spring in 2016. Flowers are blooming, the sun is shining and the beach is calling my name once again! How would you spend spring’s first day on 30A?

Take a leisurely bike ride down 30A to the Farmers Market at Rosemary Beach. From 9am-1pm every Sunday you can sample delicious products from local vendors. Fill your basket with fresh fruit, eggs, milk, cheese and grass-fed beef. Area pastry chefs will offer tasty treats. There is nothing better than the smell of fresh bread and the smell of spring!

Springtime is a great time to try new things. How about a bike ride on the bay? Emerald Coast Hydrobikes (ECH) invites you on a Chicken & Waffle Ride from the Choctawhatchee Bay to The Bay Restaurant for brunch each Sunday from 10am-2pm. Sign up for an adventure cruise on Hydrobikes to enjoy an afternoon of eating and socializing. Meeting place is at Tom’s Landing in Point Washington which is North of Seagrove Beach. Bring your friends or make some new ones with the crew from ECH!

After a nice long walk down the beach to catch the sunset, head over to The Village of Baytowne Wharf to catch a flick. Every Sunday in spring from 8-10pm a family friendly movie will be shown outdoors, under the stars and on the big screen. Get cozy in your lawn chair or blanket on the plush green lawn at the events plaza in the heart of Baytowne.

Have a fun filled first day of spring on Sunday, March 20th, 2016!
