Things to do on a Rainy Day on 30A

If you are vacationing on the beautiful beaches of 30a and there’s a bit of rain in the forecast, never fear! There are plenty of fun things to do on 30a that will keep you dry. Here’s a list of our favorite 5. 

Shopping 
From one end of 30a to the other and all in between, there are a plethora of shops to be browsed. Silver Sands Outlets in Miramar Beach offers over 110 designer and name-brand outlet stores including Coach, Kate Spade New York, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store and Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th. Pier Park in Panama City Beach has over 124 stores including Target, Forever 21, Dillards, JCPenneys and Marshalls. You can find unique boutiques all down 30a including the shops at Gulf Place, Seaside, Grayton, Rosemary and Inlet Beach. A rainy day is a great time to load up on souvenirs.

Movies
Whichever end of 30a your staying on we have a state-of-the-art theater that’s perfect for a rainy day. Grand Boulevard is home to Boulevard 10, showing some of the most popular movie releases. This theater offers a unique movie-going experience from the “BIG-D” auditorium to the Ovation Dining Room to ten screens with seating for 1,800. Pier Park is home to the Grand Imax Theater offering stadium seating, wall to wall screens, high-back rocking chairs, digital sound and 3D Capabilities. Duck in from the rain with a bag of popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show! 

Craft Breweries
I can’t think of anything better to do on a rainy day then to visit a local brewery. A little off the beaten path of 30a you’ll find Idyll Hounds Brewing Company and Grayton Beer Company. They both have a spacious tap room full of their own craft brews on tap. A 20-mile drive away but worth every minute, you’ll find Destin Brewery. A small taproom with a friendly feel and big flavorful beers on draft. You can’t go wrong tasting craft beer during a rainy day on 30a. 

Arcades                                                                                                                                                                                                            On a rainy day hit one of the many arcades just around the corner from 30a. Baytowne Wharf is home to Blast Arcade & Laser Maze and its sister company Thrills Laser Tag & Arcade, resides in Seascape. New as well as old time favorite arcade games can be played all rainy-day long. Not to mention a 2-level laser tag arena. With all this action, the kids will never remember the rain but a whole day of play on 30a. 

Spa
When I’m on vacation and hear raindrops, I head straight to the spa! After an hour massage, facial and champagne in the relaxation room, you’ll forget all about the weather. Ocean Elements Day Spa offers massage, facials, body treatments and more! 

Of course, if you’re like me, a rainy day is best spent watching the storm roll in over the Gulf of Mexico in your beachfront 30a rental. Enjoy the storm on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world remembering the sun will come out soon!
