As we watch August coming quickly to a close, we may feel as if summer is passing right before our eyes. Stay Calm! There’s still some summer left on the beautiful beaches of South Walton.

With warm temperatures throughout September, October and sometimes even November, you can spend all day at the beach! In fact, this time of year is a favorite for many guests since the beaches are not too crowded and there’s less traffic on the roads. You can also find late summer specials at some of your favorite 30A Vacation Rental spots.

Un-like many beach towns, 30A does not shut down after season. It’s just getting started! Outdoor concerts and movies take place throughout the week at multiple locations along 30A. From Seaside to Alys Beach, these evenings full of entertainment under the stars are free and open to all locals and visitors.

Outdoor activities ramp-up during late summer. Stand Up Paddle Board clubs meet weekly and races are planned throughout the month. Kayak tours invite all to experience one of the world’s largest Coastal Dune Lakes. Learn about the history, natural communities and wildlife that makes this outstanding Florida water so unique and important.

One of the biggest triathlons in our area takes place in September. The 32nd Annual Sandestin Triathlon will be held on Saturday, September 8th. Over 800 participants will swim, bike and run along the Emerald Coast of Florida.

Wine Walkabouts at Gulf Place invite guests to enjoy samplings of hand-selected wines, light appetizers, live music and giveaways for $20, all while shopping at the unique boutiques. Bubbly Baytowne invites you to sip on champagne and listen to live music while browsing the quaint little shops of Baytowne Wharf. Wine Wise at NEAT, located in Alys Beach, guides you through a wine tasting with a certified sommelier.

Boundless beach days, unlimited outdoor activities and endless entertainment equals all-out fun on 30A. Visit these beautiful beaches while there’s still a little summer left. Enjoy South Walton during late summer. You won’t be disappointed!
