5 Outdoor Activities to Enjoy the Fall Weather

30a Beach Bonfire

Most of us love Florida for the warm, sunny weather. By the end of summer, many of us are ready for some cooler weather though. Temperatures are starting to dip and festivals are lined up. We can still enjoy the beach, but the water will get a little cooler. This is one of our favorite times of the year on the Emerald Coast. If you’ll be in our area soon, add some of these fall favorites to your itinerary.

Every third Thursday, Gulf Place on 30A hosts a Wine Walkabout. From 5pm-7pm, the South Walton shops have wine samples, light appetizers, live music, and giveaways. Enjoy your complimentary wine and browse the shops of Gulf Place for jewelry, artwork, crafts, and other unique gifts.

The Hub 30A features fun events for the whole family each month. The neighborhood hotspot offers a wide selection of great food and frozen treats with a hangout at the center. From live music to movies on the Jumbotron, there’s something each week to enjoy. This football season, head over to watch your favorite teams play on the big screen while having nachos and beer available onsite.

On cool nights, a beach bonfire is a great way to warm up. Don’t just set it up on a whim, though. Beach fires are allowed only with a permit and with a proper container. Once you get those, set up under the stars with friends, blankets, and marshmallows for a fun evening on the beach. If you would rather book someone else for setup, you can contact 30A Blaze or LiveWell30A. Several 30A companies offer fire setup, chairs, and cleanup for your convenience.

Get the best of local goodies at Seaside’s Farmer’s Market each Saturday. Every week, you can take a stroll in Seaside from 9am-1pm and browse local goods. Bring home unique crafts, homemade jams, fruit and veggies, soaps, and much more. Besides the weekly market, Seaside has plenty to offer families to keep you busy all day while enjoying beautiful weather.

Explore Grayton Beach State Park! Grayton consistently ranks among the most beautiful and pristine beaches in the United States. Take a hike through 4 miles of trails or paddleboard on Western Lake. The popular park boasts over 2,000 acres including a 100-acre coastal dune lake. Coastal Dune Lakes occur in only a few places around the world so you don’t want to miss this treat!

The Emerald Coast attracts people from around the country all year long. Cool weather or warm weather, there’s plenty to do with unparalleled scenery. Garrett Realty Services, Inc is now a Benchmark 30A company and can provide luxury accommodations to enjoy a wonderful beach getaway.
