When most of the world is shoveling snow, we are brushing sand off our feet! Yes, the temperatures for South Walton during December are cool enough to see the seasons and still enjoy a walk on the beach. The Holiday spirit is strong with 30a beach towns lit up with lights and holiday happenings in cozy 30a vacation rentals. Here are a few of our favorite Christmas events around 30A!

12 Nights of Lights at Baytowne Wharf

The Village of Baytowne Wharf presents a festive light show every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday leading up to Christmas. A special holiday edition will be added to the Wednesday Night Concert Series. Watch three spectacular light shows on the Village Tree at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00pm.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides

The Town Center at Grand Boulevard will be covered with thousands of beautiful white lights, bringing a festive Christmas spirit to all. Enjoy a free horse-drawn carriage ride around the Town Center while faux Florida snow falls on the Festival of Trees display. Join us at the Grand Park every Friday and Saturday evening from 5:00 to 8:00pm on December 6th through December 28th for this festive holiday event!

Every Christmas Story Ever Told...And Then Some

Seaside REP Theatre presents their smash-hit holiday comedy "Every Christmas Story Ever Told...And Then Some" for the 10th year in a row. This premier professional theater reimagines the script every year, providing fresh jokes and performances each holiday season. Locals and visitors come back year after year for this Seaside Holiday Classic! There will be a 7:30pm showing on December 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 as well as a 2:00pm showing on December 15, 20, 21, 22, and 23. 

Ugly Sweater Parties

Louis Louis will host their Annual Ugly Sweater Bash on Saturday, December 7th from 9:00pm till late night. Wear your tackiest sweater and celebrate with great food and cocktails. The Marines will be present to collect gifts for children in need so bring one new, unwrapped gift for a drink ticket. Idyll Hounds will host their Ugly Sweater Party on Saturday, December 21st from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Celebrate with live music, food trucks, specialty beer releases and bar prizes up to $200 for the winner of the ugliest sweater contest.
