5 Ways to Workout While on a 30A Beach Vacation

Vacation means spending time doing fun things, relaxing, and breaking free from the regular routine. Everyone needs a break from the norm but if you’re concerned about your resolution to keep a good exercise routine, don’t be! There are plenty of ways to keep your new year’s resolution and get good workouts in while visiting 30A. Here are 5 of our favorites.

Take your training to the beach!  We have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Why not enjoy a workout on them? Challenge yourself with a walk or run on the powder white sand. Join in on a beach bootcamp. One of our favorite workouts is yoga on the beach during an amazing 30A sunset.

Workout in the water! The Gulf of Mexico will give you a great workout. Swimming against the waves will burn calories without you even realizing it. Stand-up paddle boarding can be an intense core workout, while challenging your balance. Kayaking is good for increasing upper body strength as well as a great cardiovascular exercise.

Try hiking and biking the trails! Point Washington State Forest contains the Eastern Lake Bike/Hike Trail. This trail consists of 3 double track loop trails. Hikers and bikers can challenge themselves to a 3.5-mile, 5-mile or 10-mile adventure while enjoying beautiful scenery and exciting wildlife.

Shake up your workout! Dancing is an excellent way to get in your cardio for the day. With plenty of 30A venues offering live music, you can shake off the calories every evening with a smile. Health clubs in the area offer Cardio Dance and Zumba classes throughout the week as well. Find a class and shake it up!

Switch up your routine! If variety is the spice of life, switching up your workouts will have you feeling the burn. If you’re a cyclist, try a yoga class. If you’re a runner, hop on a paddle board. You’ll be surprised how your body responds to the new challenge.
