Neighborhood Spotlight: North Beach Social with Farm & Fire

Farm & Fire is a Southern Pizzeria featuring three venues in one. The restaurant occupies the old Café 331 building which sits at the foot of the 331 bridge. The layout, however, is completely different utilizing much more outdoor space which offers incredible views of the Choctawatchee Bay.

North Beach Social is the first venue you approach when visiting Farm & Fire. The open-air bar serves food and drinks with plenty of outdoor seating around the bar and deck with a large white sand beach where the kids can play. This is the perfect venue for families. Mom and dad can sit back, enjoy a cocktail with a beautiful bay view while the kids have a ball in soft white sand.

Take a flight of stairs to get to venue two, Farm & Fire. With venue three, a Speakeasy bar off to the side. You can dine in the Speakeasy as well. The bar has plenty of comfortable seating and there’s a handful of tables and chairs keeping the bar area quaint.

Farm & Fire locally sources as much of the menu as they can, working with farmers, fisherman, and artisans to keep ingredients fresh. These delicious seasonally inspired dishes are in keeping with the name Farm. The Fire denotes the 800-degree clean-burning anthracite coal ovens that make the best pizzas in the area.

The menu consists of a variety of shared plates such as roasted chicken wings, oven roasted clams, and homemade meatballs to name a few. There is an array of toppings you can choose for your pizza. Favorites include prosciutto & arugula, meatballs & ricotta, and simple yet delicious, margherita. Pantry classics like charcuterie boards, salads, and focaccia bread are also found on the menu.

The cocktail menu is one you would find at a true Speakeasy. The Clara Bow Cosmo consists of Tito’s Vodka, Combier, Lime, and Hibiscus. The Al Capone shakes up Roasted Apple Bourbon, Simple, and smoked Citrus Cube. Along with these fun cocktails comes an extensive wine list, draft beer, and unique sipping rums.
