Great view, room was ok.

Dryer was real noisy. A/C didn’t blow very hard in bedroom so it stayed warm. Vacuum cleaner was horrible, just pushed the sand around. Other than that the view was excellent, the room was nice. Wouldn’t mind staying there again.

Mediocre facility at best...

I hate writing bad reviews, but in this case I feel like it’s necessary. Check-in went fine. We rented chairs online before our trip thinking it would save time when we got there. Nope. We were very bluntly told “you have to wait in line like everyone else.” Which is what we did...for an hour and half. There were 6 guys putting out chairs and umbrellas when there were well over 50 people waiting in line to rent chairs. How about tend to the people in line and then get back to setting out chairs? Then most of the chairs were empty. Absolutely ridiculous. There are also nowhere near enough elevators for a building of that size. If we had not been on the 20th floor, I would’ve taken the stairs. The location is convenient for Pier Park, but that also comes with the noise of Pier Park and all the teenagers driving up and down the road all night. Lastly, my sister and her family also stayed in Calypso with us. I understand different owners and different housekeeping staff could be the issue, BUT her condo was absolutely disgusting! If I could attach pictures it would show the black hands and knees of my nephew who is still crawling. The staff were of no help when she requested someone to come and clean. I understand there will be sand everywhere because it’s the beach. But this was dirt! Unacceptable. We will not be back.

Management team dropped the ball

Our vacation was tainted by our experience with the Benchmark management and Zia rentals. They mishandled almost everything! Didn’t come thru w/ the additional parking we set up & the check in link was wrong . We arrived at the parking garage at 3:10pm and showed them our link to get in that stated our parking pass was in the room, but was denied parking in the garage without the pass in hand. The parking attendant was very nice and let us park in oversized while we got things figured out. Tried contacting via text and call and was unable to reach them. Used a friends extra parking pass to get in. While making our way to the room finally got ahold of someone and asked if the room was ready. They said yes but we would have to pay $65 to get early access so we stood in the hall and waited the 15 min left out. 4pm – code doesn’t work, multiple calls were made and message sent....25 minutes later we are in the room to find no parking pass or wrist bands. Sent another message finally someone showed the bands. Got our parking pass and wifi for us. Wake up the next morning to fridge not working and lost food. Messaged them and no response. My husband discovered a GFI had been tripped and that ended up fixing it. New check in email sent instead of check out. Last day finally got a hold of someone on the phone and advised them of everything that happened and what was not working in the unit. She was very nice and confirmed she was seeing that the calls were not returned and messages went unanswered.
Likes: Resort – Location -Layout of condo
Dislikes: Outdated furniture -Showerheads had no pressure - Broom and vacuum were cheap and not effective.
Needed repairs reported: Lint trap broken & HVAC filter/Return vent disgusting.
We will not be staying in this unit again. I can recommend unit 1205 that we stayed in Oct 2022 for our anniversary or our friends this trip had unit 1903 and their experience was stellar. We will

Beautiful condo!

We enjoyed this condo very much. The inside was beautiful and clean. It was on the second floor so we were able to take the stairs down for one floor instead of waiting for the elevators which was super convenient. There was a heated pool which was great for my toddler who loves to swim in the pool. The condo came with a few beach chairs and boogie boards for the kids to use. It was super close to Pier Park which is also convenient. It was also very close to Walmart and Target for quick trips for food/beverage essentials. The only down side was there was a lot of noise from the street but we expected that since it’s PCB.

We enjoyed our stay! Other than a few issues like bad WiFi connection in the unit and the resort, our stay was very nice. The location of the unit is close to many attractions. Was very pleased with the service from the employees of the Calypso Resort and will definitely stay there again in the future. There needs to be a dust pan for sweeping inside the unit and there wasn’t. That was one thing I felt we needed due to coming in and off the beach with sand getting on the floor.
