We loved our time at Made in the Shade. Great location, very easy and quick walk to the beach. Public access to beach is right across the street. We biked everywhere (we brought our own bikes and 1 bike at Made in the Shade worked). The house was cute and quirky. We loved the porch and trees. Would love to stay there again!

Beach trip

This beach home was cute and clean. Loved the porch and the close access to the beach! There were 7 adults- the master bed was great. Had a few complaints that the bunk beds and queen was hard and not too comfortable, but hey, we can sleep on the beach, so no real complaints. The second bedroom was bigger than expected. There were bikes available and more parking space than reported. We had a great stay!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

We recently spent 8 nights at Made in the Shade and loved everything about it. We especially enjoy Old Seagrove and the location of this rental was perfect--short walk to the beach, restaurants within walking distance and less than a mile to Seaside. The cottage being single floor (two steps to 2nd bedroom and bath) was a benefit as well. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking fresh seafood at home. Other renters have noted problems with internet service, but we did not find that an issue. Upon check-in, we had an issue with the front door code being incorrect and over the phone they entered a new code and problem solved. Overall, we loved this little cottage and would definitely recommend it and come back. I'm just sorry they are tearing down a lot of the old, quaint cottages, along with some of the businesses and building 2 to 3 story white houses.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy and well-equipped cottage with wonderful location directly across from the beach access, and so close to Seaside and really everything. Very charming and spacious. Wonderful porch with loads of seating, and relaxing hammock. Loved our stay, and really enjoyed the beautiful beach and charming Seaside.

Perfect getaway!

This was the most precious house on a quiet street close to everything we could enjoy!! We were able to watch our fav college game on Sat, walk and bike everywhere, and the favorite spot: napping on the hammock on the screened porch!

We always like to stay in Seagrove. It’s close enough you can ride bikes to Seaside for brunch, lunch or dinner yet far enough away you feel secluded. It’s peaceful and relaxing and oh that hammock on the front porch! Such a fun trip and we will definitely be back!

Restful Retreat

We had an amazing time at Made In The Shade. The house was cozy and comfortable- loved the decor. The front porch was perfect and we enjoyed our quiet cool evenings there after a hot day on the beach. Convenient to the beach and local eateries, we found this a perfect spot to take it easy and enjoy vacation! The management staff was fantastic ! The cleaning woman was very helpful - we met her leaving as we pulled in. She was nice and gave excellent information and helpful local tips.

Overall a good location, comfortable bed, etc. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken before our arrival so I contacted the owner via email but got no reply. It would be helpful to supply guests with courtesies like more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, beach towels and a blow dryer. (This was mentioned on an email prior to our trip, so at least I was aware.)

Just a quick walk down the grove lined path and right to the beach! It's also a quick walk down to Cowgirl Cafe - a wonderful little gem on 30A - great food and the best bloody marys! Great beach escape in Old Seagrove

We loved the house but loved the location even more. The walk to the beach was less than 3 minutes and made it easy to go back and forth during the day. Bike rentals made it easy to get anywhere you need in Seagrove,Seaside, or Watercolor.
The only downside is the driveway. It is very small and hard to manage even in a small SUV.
