I highly recommend 206 Beachcrest!

This place is AMAZING! It is directly on the beach with a swath of manicured grass by the building and mangroves and other native looking shrubs bordering the beach. Because of this, when you sit on the porch enjoying the sea breeze, you can’t see any people on the beach… only the point where the waves meet the beach, so you feel like you are in a very secluded private place. The condo itself is “beachy” and the beds are very comfortable. Everything was SUPER clean in and around the place. The kitchen has all the normal things you would want… coffee maker, toaster, blender, and lots of dishes, flatware and cooking utensils. It is really great to have the ice maker in the freezer because we LOVE drinking ice water, so you don’t have to go out and buy some big bag of ice and fight with it! The nice granite counter tops make the place feel like home, and there is tile throughout, which is good because it don’t feel like I am destroying the place if I bring in a little sand from the beach, although there are plenty of showers along the walkway and steps down to the beach for rinsing off. The sliding doors are incredibly sturdy, so if it does get a little stormy during your visit, you would be real safe there. They also seem to have the turtle glass, so you don’t have to worry about confusing the nesting turtles at night when you have the lights on inside the condo.
The area is just a couple of minutes from Seaside, the area of shops, restaurants and food trucks. It is a great place to walk around and relax. Lots of great local restaurants and bars are within 20 minutes driving east or west, whatever is your pleasure. Some places have live music, and everything is very laid back and casual. The neighborhood seems very safe, and there are lots of new upscale houses along the main road and little streets, so it doesn’t seem like the wild party place that Panama City Beach can be at Spring Break. Anyway… there are tons of bicycles all over for rent and there is a Grayton State Park down the street where you can bike, walk, rent paddle boats and enjoy a quiet day out in the Florida nature area.
If you need to stock up on groceries and snacks /drinks, Publix and Wal-Mart are a short drive away. There is also a nice grocery store at Seaside… the store where part of the “Truman Show” was filmed. They also have a wonderful bakery in there!
So, if you need a nice place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of today’s crazy world, this is the place for you. All I could hear from the balcony in the condo was the crashing waves outside in the Gulf lulling me to sleep. Soooooo nice…. I highly recommend 206 Beachcrest!

Great condo on beautiful Seagrove Beach

The condo was very clean and comfortable. The view from the spacious balcony is amazing. Beach access is easy, and the beach and water are absoutely gorgeous. The unit is within quick walking distance to a couple of great restaurants.

Great location, needs to be updated

This location is excellent, near restaurants, grocery store, shopping and on the beach. This particular condo needs to be updated, paint, bathrooms, furniture, and dishes. I’d definitely stay at Beachcrest again but a different condo.

Had fun, but the unit needs some updates

This was our third stay at BeachCrest, each time a different unit. This unit by far was the worst condition of the three we have stayed in. While it was still perfectly safe and accommodating, there were a few major issues that need addressed. Sinks don’t drain well. Toilets don’t flush properly. The main bedroom air vent for the AC doesn’t seem to work and that bedroom ran 20F hotter than the rest of the unit, even with the door open. Multiple cabinets throughout the unit have doors falling off. There are multiple quick patch jobs of drywall that were done in poor taste. Most walls need new paint. Last time paint was done, they simply painted around anything on the wall. The clear plastic corner protector was not removed so the old paint color is still visible there. The decor is old and tired. Beds were ok but not really comfortable. The entire unit was picked up but not really cleaned. There was sand on the floor. Hair in the showers. Lots of dirty dishes found out away with clumps of food still on them. Overall just very disappointing.

Your comment regarding the wall paint have been passed on to the proper parties. We have also taken your comments regarding the bedding into account. We truly do our best to maintain these properties but we do falter from time to time. We thank you for providing us with this feedback, we can assure you that the necessary checks and changes have been made to ensure a better beach vacation experience for all moving forward. Please note also that we are always here to assist our guests as such if these issues had been brought to our attention during te stay; we would have happily sent back our cleaners to the unit and our maintenance team to address the maintenance issues. Although these are highlighted after the stay; we thank you as it allowed us to fix what you found unsatisfactory. Thanks again for choosing to stay with us. Great beachfront condo

The management company was attentive via text message before arrival, during the stay and after departing. The condo was clean, bed very comfortable, everything worked like it was supposed to, location very close to supermarket, restaurants and there’s a bike rental place right across the street. The chairs on the beach were included with the condo, which was really awesome. The area is general is a total gem. Would absolutely return. The ONLY flaw I found with this condo is a minor irritant, the glass shower door in the master does not stay put because the floor is not perfectly level, so if you are taking a shower the door will randomly slide down, the only way to get it to stay shut is to put something behind it to keep it from sliding.

Loved the location, balcony, views of the Gulf, and the pool. The unit itself had a few issues. While I understand the reason for a door to seal off the shower and toilet, it really wasn’t needed with an outside bathroom door. The inside door made the bathroom very cramped. I bumped into the doorknob several times. The shower doors would not stay closed. We had to wedge a couple of sponges between them to keep them sealed while taking a shower so water wouldn’t go everywhere. It would have been nice if the twin bedroom had its own TV. The remote for the living room TV didn’t work. We tried new batteries but no luck. Our feet and socks got black from the floor. We washed our feet off after the beach & before entering the unit so we’re unsure what caused this. The same thing happened in another unit we rented.

We have rented our vacation properties on 30a from Garrett for a number of years. They have always been great to work with. This year we had a hiccup with our intended property, and they rushed to the rescue to make it right, moving us to a BETTER beach front property for the first part of our stay, and then working with us to stay in that same building for an easier move. They took excellent care of us. Tim and Andrea were both amazing and helpful. We got a much better vacation that we ever expected and in fact, we loved the property so much we barely left!! And we plan to book again there later this year and next year!
