I’ll start by stating that we have stayed at the grand and other various places around the wharf 1-2 times per year for the last 4-5 years. We love the area, our kids (6 & 8) have a blast. This is our first visit for Thanksgiving and the first time that have had the ice skating (kids favorite) while we were there.
Upon arrival, we realized that we had never received the QR code necessary to access the parking garage. I called benchmark management immediately to request the code, the 2 ladies I spoke with were both doing their best to assist but were both unaware of the parking and access to the Grand. We ended up having to park our car in one of the overflow lots about 5 mins away from the main entrance. I was told they would have someone contact me the next day to provide the code. Never received a call. We happened to take the golf cart out the next morning and decided to take a picture of the QR code to scan it with the vehicle for the rest of the trip.
The unit itself appears to have been recently painted and had new appliances installed. The unit was not as clean as we would have hoped. The caulking and painted that appeared to have been done recently was done so very poorly. The sprayer attached to the kitchen faucet was leaking and water was pooling under the sink in the cabinet, ended up letting it hang in the sink to prevent the leaking and cleaning up the standing water. The bedroom door makes a really loud popping noise, (just needs to be oiled).

We also apologize for letting you down in the area of cleanliness and for the maintenance issues experienced. Please note however that had these issues been brought to our attention during the stay we would have actively worked to fix them. Please be reminded that we are always here to assist our guests. Despite these issues being highlighted after departure, we thank you for bringing them to our attention. Our team will be making the necessary checks and changes to ensure that these issues will not be present for future stays. We want to thank you again for choosing to stay with us. We do hope that this experience will not deter you from renting with us again. We do hope you will give us another chance to provide a much better vacation experience we know we can provide.
