Save the Dates for 2019 Festivals

We have a big year ahead of us! One of the best things about our area is that we have exciting festivities all year. The 2019 festival season is among us and this year will not disappoint. These upcoming events attract people from all over the country and they sell out fast so it’s wise to get your tickets fast.

The 30A Songwriters Festival is celebrating its 10th year and the lineup is better than ever! During January 18-21, over 195 songwriters will perform across 30 venues in South Walton. The long list of talented musicians includes Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Patty Griffin, Shawn Mullins, and Suzy Bogguss. The annual music festival is a benefit for the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County.  

The 8th Annual 30A Wine Festival will be February 20-24 in Alys Beach. The festival begins on Wednesday with an intimate wine dinner at Caliza Restaurant. Thursday will include Oysters & Champagne in Central Park. Bourbon, Beer & Butts will take place at Kelly Green Friday with live music all night. The grand tasting is Saturday on South Charles Street with over 80 wines showcased. The finale is Sunday with Rosé & Croquet. Proceeds from the wine festival benefit the Children’s Volunteer Health Network.

April 25-28 will be the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival. The four-day celebration will include celebrity winemakers, distillers, chefs, and live music throughout the Town Center of Grand Boulevard. Over 800 wines will be available for tasting as well as a craft beer & spirits jam. This festival benefits Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation. 

The Seeing Red Wine Festival will take place November 7-10 in Seaside for its 29th year. This was named by Fodor’s Travel a “Top 10 Can’t-Miss Fall Wine Festival”. The four-day event includes over 100 wines and a large selection of culinary treats. This is a highly anticipated festival each year and signature Seaside event.

Festivals are just a small part of the attraction to the Emerald Coast. These fun events are a bonus during a 30A vacation but there are so many more things to enjoy in the Panhandle. Fishing on the Harbor, swimming in the Gulf, shopping at the outlet mall, and eating at any one of the many, many amazing restaurants are just some of the great things to do on the coast.
