5 Reasons Why We Love South Walton in September

There is never a bad time to stay on the beautiful beaches of 30A in South Walton. Every month has something amazing to offer. From long summer days to fun fall festivals, there’s not a season we don’t love in South Walton. Since September connects summer to fall, here’s some of the reasons why we love this month for a 30A VACA!

#1 Better Weather

While summer can get pretty hot and winter can be somewhat chilly, September is lovely. The sun still shines bright creating warm temperatures, however there is less humidity then there is during summer. With that being said, the waters are still plenty warm for a dip in the Gulf of Mexico.

#2 Less Crowds

Kids are back in school, which means our high season is over. There’s more room on the beaches and on the roads. Not to mention no waits at your favorite restaurants and beach bars. There’s just as much to do with no stress are time restraints to get it done in!

Day light savings is in November so you can still enjoy long summer days on the beach during the month of September. You can catch the sunrise at 6:30am and still have enough energy to see the sunset at 7:15pm. A day full of sunshine and blue skies. In September there’s rarely a cloudy day! 

#4 Cool Events

Some of our favorite events happen in September. Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam takes place August 30^th through September 1^st. Big names such as: Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean and Kid Rock will be performing at this 3-day country music festival. Baytowne Art Walk brings a variety of artwork from regional and local artists to be browsed by art lovers over Labor Day weekend!

#5 Great Deals

At the peak of summer, you will pay a pretty penny for powder white sand and emerald green waters. While the price is totally worth it, you can cut your cost quite a bit after Labor Day!
