Celebrate Valentine’s Day on 30A

Just when you thought gift-giving was over, Valentine’s Day shows up out of nowhere. Only a few more weeks until the holiday for romance. Skip the gifts this time around and enjoy a new experience instead. The Emerald Coast is full of stunning scenery, award-winning restaurants, and charming areas to enjoy a special day with your loved one. Here are some of our favorites.

Vue 30A is a popular restaurant that overlooks the Gulf and boasts an incredible menu. Classic seafood dishes are available along with hand-crafted cocktails and the perfect ambiance for a romantic evening. Leave the cooking up to the professionals and just appreciate your company while taking in the breathtaking views from the dining room.

Alys Beach is a picturesque community all on its own with stunning architecture and cobblestone streets. Spend the day here while taking a bike ride around the town or stopping at one of the many boutiques and restaurants along the way.

Seaside is a popular area made famous by The Truman Show. This charming community boasts an amphitheater, Seaside Central, Airstream Row, and many galleries and shops surrounding. On select days you’ll find a Farmers Market, outdoor movies and concerts. Take your pick from a number of restaurants of all varieties and pick out a unique gift from one of the galleries. Sundog Books is a great store for books and music lovers with Central Square Records upstairs.

We can’t forget the best part about the coast which is the beautiful beaches! Keep Valentine’s Day simple with a beach picnic or a sunset walk and take time to soak in the natural beauty of our area. Or take it all in from the balcony of your 30A vacation rental. So often we are busy with day to day schedules and family and our normal routine that we don’t get a chance to connect. Embrace the day without distractions and remember why you fell in love in the first place. 

Wherever you are on Valentine’s Day, remember it’s the thought that counts and any effort is more appreciated than no effort at all. But don’t leave it up to one day a year to remind your significant other of how much they mean to you. Everyone loves feeling appreciated so don’t hold back on affirming that.
